Beard transplantation
Description
Have you thought about having a thick and even beard? Do you have scars you would like to cover up? FUE facial hair transplantation is a safe and effective solution that will start to regrow hair in as little as 4-5 months. The low invasiveness of the treatment means that many men opt for it. The doctor, when performing the transplantation, does not use a scalpel, only a fine needle. The recovery period is thus very short and you can return to your daily activities after just a few days.
The FUE beard transplantation is not painful as it is carried out under local anaesthesia. Hair follicles are taken from the occipital where the best quality hair is found.

- uneven, inconsistent beard
- the desire to thicken the beard
- surgical scars
Course
Prior to the treatment, a detailed history, exclusion of contraindications and a detailed discussion of the expected results are necessary. The doctor checks the condition of the skin and, if necessary, orders the necessary tests.
Blood-thinning medication should be discontinued a few days before the treatment. One day before the treatment, it is advisable to give up alcohol and strong coffee.
FUE hair transplantation begins with the administration of a local anaesthetic. The hair is then shaved at the site where the follicles are taken for transplantation. Follicles are most often taken from the occipital or chin. In the next stage, the doctor will prepare the transplantation area by creating small holes into which he will place the previously retrieved follicles. A thin needle is used during transplantation to reduce the risk of pain. Finally, the doctor applies a special ointment to speed up the skin’s healing process.
After the treatment, the doctor provides all the necessary information on skin care and the recovery period. There may be a slight swelling on the skin for 3 to 4 days after the treatment. The skin takes approximately 14 days to heal. Shaving of the beard can begin 6 weeks after treatment.
Expected effects
The result of the transplantation is a dense beard with a line discussed with the patient during the pre-treatment consultation. Full density is visible 12 months after transplantation. Although the transplanted hair is taken from the scalp, the follicles take over the functions of the hair on the chin – they have the same colour, texture, angle and direction of growth.
